The national dish of El Salvador, pupusas are griddled stuffed corn tortillas. Ours are stuffed with seasoned, shredded achiote pork and cheese. Pupusas are served with the South American equivalent to sauerkraut called Curtido. We lightly fermented cabbage with sweet onion, jalapeños, and carrots. Comes with spicy roasted garlic tomato sauce.
